The Nuits de Fourvière (« Fouvriere’s nights »), is a cultural festival that takes place each summer in Lyon since 1946.
Durant les mois de juin, juillet et août, de nombreux spectacles prennent place : concerts, spectacles de danse, pièces de théâtre, projections cinématographiques, représentations de cirque…
In june, july and august, numerous spectacles take place : music concerts, dance shows, theatre pieces, cinematographic projections, circus performances…
The two highlights of this festival are firstly his multidisciplinarity in terms of spectacles, and secondly the place where those take place. Lugdunum theatre (the antique name of Lyon) is indeed an emblematic spot of the city, made up of the Gallo-Roman museum, the antique Odéon and the remains of the Cybèle sanctuary.
This historical spot, built on Fourvière’s hill, can welcome up to 4500 people during the cultural representations.

During Fourvière’s nights, the funicular is free for people carrying a festival ticket, and it’s operation is enforced.

Elton John, Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Radiohead and Arctic Monkeys, that i had the chance to see performing in 2018 !
