Bienvenü, a service to help you when you arrive in Lyon !

Bienvenü, what is it ? Michaël has experienced international mobility and had the idea of launching Bienvenü, a structure which offers you a personalized support package upon your arrival in Lyon.

In 2007, I left for Sweden as part of a European Voluntary Service. It was an extremely rewarding experience, both from a human and professional point of view. This program lived as a young beneficiary developed my interest in international mobility and I therefore decided to cross the other side of the barrier. In other words, allow other young people to have the opportunity to have this type of experience. Subsequently, I worked in the mobility office of the French Center in Berlin, then in the international relations department of a Lyon university for almost 5 years where I was in charge of coordinating programs with Australia , India and New Zealand, and visa and residence permit files. Then I wanted to start my own structure by developing different services, notably more personalized in welcoming students.

Michaël, who will be there to help you during your stay

Bienvenü, it is also a source of information on international life in Lyon through its blog and the news relayed by its facebook page.

What is in Bienvenü packs?

The Bienvenü pack offers full support, from preparation for your arrival to your landing at the airport and throughout your stay. The goal is to allow students to integrate as quickly as possible into the city of Lyon.

Before your arrival, Michaël is there to answer all your practical questions and will prepare you a personalized guide according to your tastes and expectations. He can also help you find accommodation.

When you arrive, he will pick you up from the airport and assist you with your administrative procedures. If you need temporary accommodation, he has set up a partnership with the Guesthouse du Flâneur and will accompany you in the search for accommodation (up to visits if necessary). Two other partnerships (Lyon Explorer and a FLE teacher) will allow you an alternative visit to Lyon (in English or French) and a fun course on Lyonnais expressions.

Throughout your stay, he will send you useful information about Lyon and will be there in case of problems. A kind of super-godfather, in short!

Having lived abroad, going abroad is both exciting and scary. The Bienvenü pack allows you to be reassured by having a privileged contact on site who supports upstream, takes care of the purely administrative aspects, welcomes, allows to optimize the experience from the start thanks to the personalized side of the pack, and ensures a follow-up in case of problems. It can be very useful for students who need more support, but also those who will live in Lyon only for one semester.

Whether you are a student (Erasmus or not), EVS volunteer or intern, Bienvenü packs are available for around twenty young people each semester.

The Bienvenü pack is aimed at international students who want to feel at home in Lyon as quickly as possible.
